One cup of soybeans. Three foods. None of them hard.

MioMat makes the milk. Yogurt needs about 10 minutes of your hands. Cheese needs a little lemon juice. A full video course for each one comes with every brand new MioMat: every question you will have is already answered, so you just follow along. Sold separately for $49.95 each.

Your work: 5 minutes

Creamy and protein-rich, from just soybeans and water. Pick the program, press start, walk away.

Spoon lifting thick homemade soy yogurt from the jar

Course included

Your work: 10 minutes

2. Thick yogurt

Stir a starter into your warm milk and let it sit overnight. No starch, oils or gums.

Fresh homemade plant-based cheese cut into cubes on a wooden board

Course included

Your work: 10 minutes

3. Fresh cheese

Warm milk, a little lemon juice, press. That is the whole recipe. No special ingredients, no special skills.

No beany taste. Ever.

Some soybeans taste stronger than others. With mild beans, your milk is ready at the beep. If it ever tastes too beany, just leave it in the MioMat. Its Keep Warm feature keeps the milk gently warm on its own, and the beany taste goes away.

So your soy milk comes out smooth and fully cooked, even from tough soybeans.

A jar of soybeans and jars of homemade soy milk next to two store-bought cartons, with a five-dollar and a one-dollar bill

Cheap: less than $1 a quart.

A $36 bag of soybeans makes you $250 worth of soy milk.

A 13 lb bag for about $36.50 makes about 65 quarts. A 32 oz carton of clean-label soy milk (just water and soybeans) costs $3.79.

Questions people ask

Does MioMat make the yogurt and cheese too?

MioMat makes the milk. You turn the milk into yogurt and cheese in your kitchen, and the included courses show you each step.

What kind of cheese is it?

A fresh plant-based cheese. You warm your soy milk, add a little lemon juice and press it. You can slice it, crumble it or spread it. It does not melt, and it is close to a firm tofu.

Will my soy milk taste beany?

No. If it ever does, leave it in the MioMat for 15 to 20 minutes after the program ends. The Keep Warm feature keeps it gently warm and the beany taste goes away.

How much does one batch make?

It depends on whether you strain it. Without straining, one batch makes about 40 oz (1.2 L). Straining takes out about 20%, so you get about 34 oz (1 L), a little more than a quart.

Is it hard to clean?

Not if you rinse it right after use: then cleanup is a breeze. If you forget or don't have time, the Cleaning program helps loosen the dried soy residue. But that residue is stubborn, so rinsing right after use is the easiest way.

Can it make oat or nut milk too?

Yes, and soups and porridge as well.

It's a gift. Who gets the courses?

The person who gets the MioMat. Send us their email address and we will give them access.

What if it's not for me?

You have 30 days from delivery to send it back for a full refund. No restocking fee.
