My Story
Hi, I’m Victoria.
I’m not a chef. I’m not a nutrition therapist.
I’m just a normal person who used to have problems with her gut.
Waking up every night with pain in my belly. Feeling uncomfortable and tired during the day.
I knew something was wrong. But I did not know what.
When I finally went to the doctor, I got my answer.
I was lactose intolerant.
Milk, yogurt, cheese… They were part of my everyday life. And suddenly, they were hurting me.
I tried lactose-free products, but nothing changed.
So I decided to switch to what I thought was the healthiest option, plant-based products. In my mind, this had to work. I truly believed I had finally found the solution.
But nothing changed. The pain was still there, and I felt just as uncomfortable as before.
It honestly did not make any sense to me, and I kept asking myself, what am I supposed to do now, just drink water?
That is when I became really curious. How could something that was supposed to be made from plants still make me feel sick?
It just did not add up. So I turned the package around and decided to read the label more carefully. And that is when it hit me.
I thought I was choosing something simple and natural, but instead I was staring at a long list of ingredients, words I could not even pronounce.
I remember feeling really angry in that moment, but at the same time there was also a sense of relief. Things finally started to make sense.
It was not that something was wrong with my body, it was the food I had been eating all along. The food industry was dressing everything up in beautiful packaging and calling it healthy, even when it was not.
Plant based food can be incredibly healthy, but only when it is truly made from plants. That is when it became clear to me what I needed to do next. I started making everything from scratch at home.
Making everything from scratch was not easy at all.
At the beginning, I had to learn everything from zero, and there were many failed attempts. It took a lot of time, a lot of patience, and a lot of effort before things finally started to work.
But when they did, I could feel the difference. I had more energy, my body felt lighter, and even my skin looked better.
Still, it came at a cost. I was spending so much time in the kitchen every day that it started to feel overwhelming, and deep down I kept wishing there was a simpler way.
Then one day, my sister-in-law gave me a machine she invented called MioMat.
Honestly, I did not think it would change much. I was used to doing everything the hard way. But the first time I used it, I was shocked.
I added the ingredients, filled the water, chose a program, and that was it.
No standing in the kitchen. No cleaning up a mess.
Just fresh, warm plant milk, soup, or slow-cooked porridge ready to eat.
In that moment, I realized this was what I had been missing the whole time.
MioMat became my quiet helper in the kitchen. While it was working, I could do whatever I wanted, and it brought me a sense of peace.
I no longer felt like I was racing against time all day, because I finally had the help I truly needed.
After seeing how much it has helped me, me and my Husband Eric decided to bring the MioMat to the US and later also to Canada, the United Kingdom, and even Australia.
MioMat is a family business. It was created by a real person with health problems, for people like me. And that is why this means so much to me.

Because eating healthy and making food from scratch should be simple. I found a way to make it simple.
